Pair of bronze, French candlesticks, in the form of fauns, mid-19th century. Luxurious gilded and patinated bronze shows full-length fauns in grape robes and holding grapes in their hands. The deep, noble patina of the figures is shaded by the majestic gilding, the filigree subtlety of the pedestals and flowerpots of the candlesticks.
