20th Century French Dendritic Agate 18 Karat Rose Green Gold Pendant, 1890s

About This Piece

Pendant in 18 karat rose and green gold, eagle head hallmark. Magnificent antique pendant, it is formed of a crown of ivy flowers which decorates in application a circle of gold in the center and, retained by numerous claws flower of lilies, an important agate with dendrite. An arabesque decoration surmounts the whole and a hanger, also decorated in application of ivy leaves, allows to wear the pendant. Total weight of the agate : 9.40 carats approximately. Height : 4,3 cm approximately, width : 2,8 cm approximately, thickness : 5 mm approximately. Total weight of the jewel : 7,2 g approximately. Antique jewel - French work of the beginning of the XXth century. Our opinion : Coming to us in a perfect condition of origin since the Belle Epoque, this antique pendant combines the delicacy of its decoration with the herborized pattern of its agate.
