This elegant Anglo-Indian table, crafted from exotic woods including palo santo, purpleheart, sandalwood, and ivory, is a true masterpiece from the late 19th century. It features exquisite marquetry work that simulates a tropical jungle scene, complete with various trees and herds of elephants roaming around. Both the elephants and trees are intricately carved in relief and highlighted with Chinese ink. Surrounding the scene is a floral ivory ribbon, adding a touch of elegance to the overall design. The base, made of marble and brass, was added later and complements the intricate detailing of the tabletop beautifully. with dimensions measuring 127 cm in diameter and 76 cm in height, this table commands attention in any space.
