This exquisite antique Italian chest of drawers from the second half of the 17th century Baroque period, specifically the Louis XIV style, is an extraordinary example of fine craftsmanship. Hailing from the renowned cabinetmaking workshops of Northern Italy, this piece showcases the elegance and sophistication characteristic of the Baroque era.

Crafted from fine, light-toned walnut, the chest of drawers is adorned with intricate marquetry that graces each side, embodying the quintessential Baroque aesthetic with its flowing lines, curls and scrolls. The striking contrast provided by the black ebonized wood frames serves to accentuate the beauty of the marquetry, creating a visually arresting piece.

with a generous capacity, the chest of drawers features four large drawers, the first of which opens with a flap to reveal a convenient writing surface, ideal for making quick notes or reviewing documents.
