This is an antique decorative marriage bowl. A Chinese ceramic ceremonial bonbon dish, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.

Beautiful colours to this antique dish
Superb condition throughout
Ceramic thrown into a wonderful bowl shape
Decorated in a vibrant pink ground with contrasting sky blue to the interior and base

Decorated with foliate and cloud form pattern
To each side, a large spring flower from which scrolled leaves extend outwards
Alternating with characters beneath cloud forms over smaller foliate heads
Striking blue base finished with red painted maker's stamp
