Antique standing bamboo wall coat rack/wardrobe from France, around 1900. Bamboo was a very exclusive and luxurious product at the time and only available in the East. The six hooks are made of cast iron and intended for hats and coats. The old oval mirror has been facet cut and is still very usable. This coat rack is further decorated with bamboo decoration and a green porcelain decorative tile. This coat rack also has an umbrella and walking stick rack with a green painted zinc drip tray. We have cleaned this coat rack, restored it where necessary and provided it with a layer of wax. This will have to be placed against a wall for extra stability. A beautiful item for your hall, corridor or restaurant.
