Vintage Design

1950’s Baumann Bentwood Bistro Dining chair – Honey – Set Of Four. Classic beech bistro chair made in France by the maker Baumann. Baumann is a slightly off the radar French producer just starting to gain traction in the market. Baumann was founded in 1901, by Swiss man Emile Baumann, in Colombier Fontaine, France. Baumann started producing a simple child’s chair but grew rapidly to be a large bentwood producer with showrooms all over France. In our view the chairs of the 50’s and 60′ are their best, beautifully made and designed. WSeat Height 47cm.
