About This Piece

Vintage Design

This mahogany burl veneer chest of drawers opens at the waist with a drawer with a slight groove underneath.
It also offers three identical, recessed and larger drawers, with cupped knobs, locks and openwork entrances with cherub motifs, all original.
The front uprights have detached columns, with bronze capitals and collars, ending in ball feet.
This piece of furniture is topped by a slab of Belgian petit granite marble.
The drawer interiors as well as the structure are in oak.
This chest of drawers, a real piece of artistic furniture made by cabinetmakers at the beginning of the 19th century, testifies to the artisanal know-how and aesthetics of its time.
