Indian Chest in Wood, Braiding and Vintage Brass

Very beautiful trunk or chest, wooden interior, bamboo or rattan woven exterior, carved wooden edges, brass handles and closure, closure chiseled with stylized floral motifs. Vintage manufacturing from the 60s or earlier, of Indian origin in view of the patterns. Old dark varnished wood appearance, decorated with carved floral motifs, weaving revealing a geometric pattern in shades of light and darker wood. Pretty chiseled brass closure at the front (the closing rod is missing), each end has a fine gilded brass handle. Placed on 4 wooden feet. Artisanal work. Interior raw wood clean but left in its juice, exterior cleaned and nourished. Beautiful dimensions 56cm in length, 29cm in width, 30cm in maximum height approximately, domed lid. Very good general condition, some traces of time however, small defects in the weaving and wear of the wood. Between 2 and 3kg.
