Industrial black Fabrilux wall lamp from Germany, circa 1930s, manufactured and designed by Lichttechnische Spezialfabrik Dr. Ing. Schneider & Co. This lamp was used in workshops and factories and was probably mounted on a lathe, machine or on the wall. Fabrilux is known for the solid rotary switch with bakelite fixture. This one obviously still works perfectly after all these years. The shade is black enameled and still looks nice. The black metal arms have been cleaned and coated with clear varnish. These are connected by a ball joint. The bakelite fixture is connected by a ball joint and a spring that is adjustable in several positions. We have fitted this lamp with new twisted fabric cord and plug. The minimum length is 24 cm and the maximum length is 55 cm. The last picture shows that one arm has been welded in the past. Perfect to use in your kitchen, as a reading lamp or as a bedside lamp!
