About This Piece

Vintage Design

Luminous glass globe turning on itself and inclined according to the angle of the ecliptic. It is surrounded by a half equatorial grid divided into degrees and is covered with a paper map at a scale of 1:50 000 000. Mapped according to Mr. Picquart, director of Perrina, it indicates the continents, countries, major cities, oceans, rivers, but also air connections, including that of Air France, the lines of the companies Chargeurs Réunis, Messageries Maritimes and transatlantic lines.
This terrestrial sphere rests on an Art Deco metal base and becomes a "red moon" color when lit.
This globe, which equipped the classrooms of yesteryear, will take you back to your younger years...
