MID-CENTURY SWEDISH BIRCH LOW OPEN BOOKCASE CIRCA 1950. GOOD EXAMPLE OF SWEDISH DESIGN, WHICH OFFERS MAXIMUM STORAGE WITHOUT TAKING TOO MUCH SPACE. RECTANGULAR SHAPE, VENEERED IN A GOLDEN BIRCH. 2 DRAWERS BELOW THE TOP SURFACE WITH A SINGLE DOOR CUPBOARD TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE WHICH OPENS TO REVEAL 2 SHELVES. MAIN OPEN STORAGE SPACE CONTAINS AN ADJUSTABLE SHELF FOR BOOK DISPLAY OR ORNAMENTS. RAISED ON FLUTED BLOCK FEET. RECENTLY RE-POLISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP. 1 SMALL MINOR AGE SPLIT TO TOP SURFACE WHICH IS NON STRUCTURAL, WHICH IS PHOTOGRAPHED.
