Vintage 18k Gold Diamond Ring, 1970s

About This Piece

In this ring we find one of the most particular decorations that I have seen so far, which is based on a perfect illusion; and the result is truly magical and surprising. The ring seems to be made up of two different rings: a main band, which follows the circumference and decorated with diamonds, and a second ring, a thin yellow gold band positioned obliquely around the band; these two rings are held together by a "ribbon" in yellow gold, which binds them to each other in the center. The reality is that this whole setting derives from a very clever and fantastic workmanship of the stem, which on the back branches into two other elements, on the left and on the right, in such a way as to start the two parts of the ring in yellow gold, while the main part continues in the center. The whole ring is made of 18K gold and the diamonds are for an estimated total of more than half a carat, and more precisely of 0.56ctw approx. Epoch : 70s. Size : 13. Materials : 18k yellow gold and brilliant cut diamonds, for an estimated total of approx. 0.56 ct. Dimensions of the front : height: 1.1 cm. Weight : 8.8 g. Conditions: excellent condition with normal signs of wear commensurate with the age of the jewel.
