Beautiful hand-made print, the image composed of many separately-printed colour layers. A face hovers in a landscape of plant- and rock-like forms, accompanied by the light of a pale pink full moon.

Framed under glass in original gilded frame

A sensitive painter, Takahashi was skilled in transforming painted watercolour and gouache images into intense, multilayered prints. His vocabulary of abstracted faces, creatures and natural forms is expressed through a multitude of marks and harmonious colours.
(Not the manga artist of nearly the same name :)
